Frederick Weber Obituary

Frederick Arthur Weber

Frederick Arthur Weber passed away peacefully at his home on February 22, 2025. Fred was the beloved husband of Arlene Halpern; the loving, proud father of Stacey Dougherty, of blessed memory, and Pete Dougherty; and the devoted grandfather of Claire and Collin, grandchildren who brought him immense joy.

Fred completed graduate and undergraduate studies at New York University, including a master's degree in Chemical Engineering. His career with Mobil Oil Corporation spanned over 30 years, where he focused on strategic business planning and financial analysis.

Fred was an avid art collector and trader. He also enjoyed cars, literature, history, and finance. Fred trained in martial arts, earning three black belts in iaido. He held a deep affection for his pets and practiced kindness toward all living things.

Fred's intellect and unwavering curiosity touched all those who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

A private service and burial are planned.

Arlene,

Rene and I are deeply saddened to learn of Fred's passing. We had many happy moments with the two of you and your friends when we lived next door. Fred was always a character, in my opinion, and as a fellow Chemical Engineer, I greatly enjoyed talking with him about a variety of subjects.
