Hugh Hardwicke Obituary
Hugh Hunter Hardwicke, III, 78 of Chesterfield, passed away on February 5, 2025, peacefully at home with his loving wife Lynne. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Hunter Hardwicke, Jr. and Gladys Olmstead Hardwicke; grandfather, Hugh Hunter Hardwicke, Sr.; and grandmother, Ann Eppes Hardwicke. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lynne O'Bryan Hardwicke; son, Greg Hardwicke (Shannon); daughter, Heather Hardwicke Dueweke; grandchildren, Parker, Loren, Sydney, Aidan, and Maddie; brother, Bruce Hardwicke (Frankie); sister, Jan Cole (Allan); along with special niece and nephew, Victoria and Robert; along with many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a long-time Scout Master for 20 years. He honorably served in the Air Force for four years. Hunter also enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, and anywhere in the great outdoors. He could always be found in his happy place, the family lake house.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Bliley's – Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 10 at Bliley's – Chippenham. Interment to follow in Virginia Veteran Cemetery at Amelia.

Lynne, we are absolutely heartbroken to learn of Hunter's passing. He was such a wonderful, kind, compassionate gentleman and so proud of his family. He will be missed on so many levels. Our prayers are with you and your precious family. God Bless You all.
