Irene Allgood Obituary

Irene Morgan Allgood, 79, of Boydton, died October 11, 2004. She was a member of Christ Chapel Episopal Church and was retired from Herbert Drug Company. She was the widow of James T. "Smokey" Allgood and was also preceded in death by her brother, Billy Morgan. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, James Jr. and Mary Starling Allgood of Alberta, Michael and Yvonne Allgood of Chase City, devoted brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Lois Morgan of South Hill; grandchildren, Jeff Allgood and wife, Sharon, David Allgood and wife, Jessica and Kristin Allgood. Friends may call at her home 6 to 9 p.m. tonight. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Boydton Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Ronnie Campbell officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Boydton Life Station, P.O. Box 182, Boydton, Va. 23917, or American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, Ga., 30368-2454. Wood Funeral Service, Chase City, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at [email protected]
