Dr. Blanchard was a great dentist I remember as a little kid he would always tease me about one thing or the other and he would always tell me how I needed to stop sucking my thumb well now I wish I had listened to him sooner because now I have an open bite and I am a tounge thruster. Anyway he was a great dentist and no one can replace him. I don't know who will be my dentist now, but I hate to leave Dr. Blanchard's office yes, I said Dr. Blanchard's office because to me it will always be his office cause I grew up with Karen and Linda who aren't there anymore and Diana (she's a riot) always makes me laugh when I go in there and oh yeah then there is Susan who has been there forever and we can't forget Casey can't tell her from Susan on the phone. I will miss him forever. Take care and I love all you guys Karen, Jimmy and Linda.

Ranny was my best friend in High School. We played football and baseball together for all of our high school years and went to Duke together ... Ranny for baseball and I for football. We played freshman football and baseball together at Duke. After that Ranny begrudgingly gave up football and I gave up baseball. Ranny was a great athlete and teammate, but even a better person. He was a great friend, always there with his sense of humor, helping me meet life as a student-athlete. We shared a lot together as young men and I've missed his friendship over the years since college. I'm sure that Ranny was a good family man and friend throughout his life and will be missed by many. My condolences and prayers go out to his family and friends. God rewards good people and I'm sure Ranny is already enjoying his place in God's presence.

Linda and family,

During my Warwick High School days, and for many years thereafter, Ranny and I were old running mates chasing dreams in and around the tidewater area. He was the brightest, most honest and decent person I have ever met, then and now. I am proud to have had the opportunity to know him and am sure he will be missed by anyone that had the pleasure of his acquaintance.

Randy was one of by best friends through high school. I looked up to him as a friend, mentor and team-mate. He helped me learn how to play team sports and how to carry yourself through wins and losses. Even though I have not seen him in a few years, I will always consider him one of my best friends, He will be missed.

To Linda, Karen and Jimmie and the rest of the family,

You have been in my thoughts and prayers during this sad and difficult time. It has been my pleasure and privilege to know Ranny and to be considered among your friends. My eyes are full of tears for this huge loss, but my heart is full of happy memories of an awesome man who loved his family and friends, loved his profession, and loved adventures. He threw such energy into everything he did, and he accomplished everything he set out to do with grace...everything except win this final battle. We will all greatly miss Ranny here on earth, and none more than you all, but I know that Heaven is a brighter place today because Ranny is there. May God bless you and your family.
