Jessie Shelton Obituary

Jessie D. Shelton "Pig" was born on September 5, 1947 to the late Ethelbert and Cora Trent in Goochland, Virginia and departed this life on May 27, 2004. Her husband, Frederick S. Shelton also preceded her in death. Jessie attended county schools in Goochland and was a dedicated, loving, and faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a dedicated servant of Jehovah for 27 years. She is survived by four children, William E. Trent, Sharon D. Finney, Monique D. Trent, and Felicia M. Shelton; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Andrew Trent, Douglas Trent, and Red Trent; one daughter-in-law, Karen Trent; adopted daughter, Marie Hamrick; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Swanson Road.

Your family is in my prayers. I know it doesn't seem like it now but with time and Jehovah's spirit you will get through this. I've only recenty gotten to know sister Shelton. We'd speak almost daily when she would pick up her granddaughter and then also at christian gatherings. She's loved by many and will definitly be missed.
