Jon DiMarco Obituary

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Jon Rocco DiMarco passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 4, 2025 in Richmond, VA.

Jon spent his early years in Detroit, high school years in Washington, DC, and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from VMI, and a master's degree from University of Virginia.

Jon's career as a creative and determined inventor included development of multiple innovations and patents. Known among family and friends as the man who could fix anything, Jon was often called on to solve problems and never turned down the chance to help. He was an avid handball player who competed regionally.

Jon is survived by his two children, Ryan Reynolds DiMarco and Jillian Leigh DiMarco, and his sister Lee Francesca "Toni" DiMarco Robinson.

He will be remembered for his intellect, creativity, determination, and deep love for his family.

Yesterday

Jon was a good friend for many years. I played him in handball regularly at the Richmond downtown YMCA dating back to the 70's. Many times a group of us would go to 3rd Street diner after playing and enjoy rehashing the games and talking about family and friends. He will definitely be missed by all of us. My condolences to all family members.
