Julia Harris Obituary
Upon high school graduation, Julia acquired a bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She was a member of Fifth Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. In 2019, she retired from the Virginia Department of Charitable Gaming as a Certified Fraud Examiner.
She is survived by two sisters, Eleanor Harris, Carolyn Harris; two brothers, Rufus Harris, Jr. (Queen), Winston Harris; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A public viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 â€" 6:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 3:30 PM, Celebration Church Franklin, 188 Stewart Drive, Franklin, VA with Reverend Dr. Earl M. Brown delivering the eulogy; the host pastor is Pastor Anthony Rawlings, Sr. The interment will follow in Mt. Sinai Church Cemetery, Suffolk, VA. Masks are required at all services. Service provided by the professional and caring staff of Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 224 South Main Street, Franklin, VA.
