Louise Bridgforth Obituary

Louise Bridgforth

Mar 31, 1939 - Jun 24, 2024

Louise "Ease" Pennington Bridgforth, 85, of Richmond Va, raised in Brodnax, Va, passed away peacefully at home with family on June 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Drewry E Pennington and Winnie Walthall Pennington; her sister, Betty Drew Piluso; brother-in-law, Charles J Piluso; and beloved son, Edward McPhail Bridgforth III. She is survived by her son, Baskerville Pennington Bridgforth and Karen Camden Bridgforth (wife); grandchildren, Benjamin Tanner Bridgforth and Taylor O'Neill Bridgforth; nephews, Paul Piluso and Michael Piluso; nieces, Claire Asselta (Mark) and Winnie Applebaugh (Jon). Louise was a devoted and loving mother and doting "Gammie" and "Auntie". She will be deeply missed by her family and dear friends. As a strong Christian, she was a faithful and dedicated member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church and enjoyed joining the ministries serving the community at "The Gathering Place". She will be remembered for her gracious kind heart and loving spirit. Her Southern charm quickly made her friends with whomever she met. She would always see the good in people and was a beautiful lady inside and out.

A graveside service will be held at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 11 a.m. We are truly grateful for the love, prayers, and support from St. Michael's Church and other family and friends. Please consider memorial contributions to St. Michael's Episcopal Church Feeding Ministries, 2040 McRae Rd Bon Air, VA.

I was saddened to read about the death of Mrs. Bridgforth. I was then shocked to read of the death of her son Mac. Mac was an outstanding young man on our Astro LL baseball team. I remember both very well and offer my sympathy to her family.
