Donald,
My sympathy to you and your family!
Based on my faith...I understand that God does not create 'our illnesses'. Our status as 'humans' in an 'unpure world' create the many diseases that become our illnesses. The devil uses those who suffer as his tool to weaken anyone he can.
What God promises us is the strength to endure! God certainly gave you and Marie this strength.
Marie suffered an awful disease, yet God gave her a gift in YOU...a very, very special person...to first LOVE her, and then to LOVE her enough to compassionately care for her like no other.
You have a dual loss through which you must grieve and adjust...first losing Marie...then 'filling' your time as a 'caregiver' with things you enjoy doing.
These are 2 big adjustments in your life and I have faith that God will give you the strength to endure.
Reach out to those who will "LISTEN" because they are your best tool by which to heal...having someone 'hear your pain'. Don't be ashamed to share. It is a priviledge for your friends to be there for you. Call on Wayne or I anytime!
Blessings!!
