Marshall Robert Black Jr.

BLACK, Marshall Robert, Jr., 98, of Providence Forge, Va., passed away peacefully on January 31, 2021. He was preceded in death by his former wife of 29 years, Gladys Brown Black; son, Charles Black; and stepson, Paul Wright. He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Josephine P. Black; four children, Robert Black (Pamelia), Hazel B. Charity (Kirkland Sr.), Evorah B. Bradby (Joseph Sr.), and Angela Black-Jones; daughter-in-law, Vickie Black (devoted friend, Calvin Crawley); brother, Sherman Black (Kathleen); 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, one stepdaughter, five stepsons; devoted caretaker, Edith Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A viewing will be held 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Wilson & Associates' - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, Va., where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021. Interment Parrish Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
