Mitchell Baldwin Early

1975 - 2023

EARLY, Mitchell Baldwin, 48, of North Chesterfield, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2023, while at home in the presence of his family, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Mitchell was a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and Mary Baldwin College and was an accomplished teacher in Chesterfield County, most recently as a fifth grade teacher at Crestwood Elementary School. He was a lifelong learner, a curator of all music genres, a devoted husband and father, and a man of unbreakable faith.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Virginia 'Gina' Miller and their beautiful sons Mason Thomas and Brody Mitchell. He is survived by his mother Margaret 'Peggy' Gee Early, his mother-in-law Sally Thomas Miller, his brothers and their wives, Todd (Anne), and Randy (Rachael), his brothers-in-law and their wives, Joe (Laura), Josh (Leigh), and a full house of nieces and nephews: Coleman, Cabell, Connelly, Callum, Madelyn, Sydney, Jane, Elias, and Donovan. He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Dillard Early.

A service will be held at Hill City Church, 2101 Maywill Street, Richmond, VA 23230, on Monday, September 4, 2023 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hill City's new project, The Commons "For the good of Richmond". Donations can be made at www.hillcityrva.com.
