Ronald Edward Austin

AUSTIN, Ronald Edward, 76, of Glen Allen, VA, passed away on November 13, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife, of almost 50 years, Marlene. He is also survived by his devoted daughter, Tanya (Mark) Austin, and much-loved granddaughters, Blair and Traci. Ron is also survived by his sisters; Connie Penland, Barbara (John) Bruner and brothers; Billy (Beverly) Austin and Steve Austin and families. Ron was raised on a tobacco farm outside of Crewe, Virginia. He served in the Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. After graduating from VCU, he worked in the safety consulting field and eventually opened his safety consulting business, Austin Safety, LLC. Ron's interests included reading, movies, and golf, but most of all enjoying time with his family.

Celebration of Ronald's life will take place 1 p.m. Saturday, December 2, at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, Virginia 23228. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., and invite you to join in a reception immediately after the service.
