Thomas Booker Obituary
August 1, 1939 - May 23, 2025
Thomas Gerald Booker ("Red"), 85, of Highland Springs, VA, passed away on May 23, 2025, surrounded by family. A University of Richmond athlete and former New York Yankees minor leaguer, Tom had a distinguished career in the insurance industry and was a devoted member of New Bridge Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughters Anne Robbins (Chris) and Sarah Cochran (Paul), six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on May 29, 2025, at 1 p.m. at New Bridge Baptist Church (5701 Elko Rd, Sandston, VA). Visitation begins at noon. Donations in his honor may be made to the church's building fund.

He was a true "character" in the best sort of way.....

Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family, and friends of Tom "Red" Booker. Although proud, assertive, and demanding, he was also warm-hearted, open-handed, and extremely loyal to friends and associates.
He lived out his own myth, yet the role he assumed was A Noble one. His forte was an uncanny ability to influence others and
bring them around to his way of thinking. May he rest in Peace.
