Walter Geigert Obituary

Walter Allen Geigert went home to be with his Heavenly Father, October 31, 2003 at UVA Hospital. Born on February 8, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pa., he was preceded in death by his parents, Ewalt and Florence Geigert; and his brothers, Daniel and Edward. He is survived by his loving wife, Karolyn; stepchildren, Danny and Dalyn Seay and Donna Corros; grandchildren, Danielle Seay, Jesse and Jason Echols; sisters-in-law, Muriel Geigert, Gemma Kelly and Betty Carneal; nephews, Paul, Andrew and William Geigert; nieces, Teresa Geigert and Maureen MacCarthy; great-nephews, Danny and Sean; and great-niece, Tatianna. Walt was a member of First Baptist Church, Dillwyn, Va., where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, November 2, and at the funeral, November 3 at 11 a.m. Interment, with Masonic Rites, will follow in Cedar Baptist Church Cemetery. Walt requested that memorial contributions be made to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, Mini Car Patrol, ACCA Temple, P.O. Box 9217, Richmond, Va. 23227. Contributions may also be made to the Dillwyn Rescue Squad, Dillwyn Fire Dept., or a charity of your choice.
