Kenneth "Kenny" Charles Pierson, 52, of Lynchburg, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 at his home.
He was born June 6, 1968 in Wilmington, the son of Donny and Geraldine Pierson.
Kenny was a 1987 Lynchburg-Clay High School graduate and became a mechanic right after graduation. He worked for Brose Chevrolet in Lynchburg, Gusweiler in Washington Court House, and was a mechanic at Airborne Express for 17 years. After ABX closed their doors in 2008, Kenny owned and operated his own mechanic shop, Pierson Automotive, at his home in Lynchburg. Kenny loved playing his guitar, singing, and was a member of the praise band at the Martinsville Church of Christ where he attended. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Arlene Pierson, whom he married on Oct. 1, 2001; his parents, Donny and Geraldine Pierson of Lynchburg; three children, Kendra (Brad) Stewart of Lynchburg, Kyle Pierson of Hillsboro and Augustus Michael of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Kiara Stewart, Braxton Stewart and Bryar Stewart; two sisters, Donna (Randy) Clonch of Lynchburg and Audrey Caldwell of St. Martin; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. following visitation on Friday, February 19 at the funeral home. Troy Roush will officiate. Burial will follow services in the Harwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in c/o of the Davis-Turner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 400, Lynchburg, Ohio 45142.
