Raymond R. Kowalski, 76, passed away peacefully Sunday in a local hospital from complications due to kidney failure. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived many places throughout the United States before settling in Benicia five years ago.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1954-1956.
Ray worked as a Sales Consultant for more than 35 years, most recently at an Infinity/Lexus Dealership in Reno, Nev., before retiring in 2004.
His passion was golf, enjoyed poker with friends, liked to read, and a fan of opera music.
He was known for his great sense of humor, which he kept through to the end.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and a son, Kenneth Kowalski.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene Faysal Kowalski of Benicia; daughters, Lisa Hart-Reynolds & Debra Karch of Vallejo; brother, Edward
Kowalski of Michigan; grandchildren, Melissa Essex, Brittany Hart & JD Levitski; great grandchildren, Malia Levitski and Alicia & Angelina Rodriquez.
Memorial services will be held 12 Noon Monday, at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be in Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA. He will be greatly missed.
