David Fetch Obituary

David R. Fetch Sr., 77, of Shickshinny, formerly of Wyoming, passed away, Thursday, November 1, 2007, at Hospice Care of the Visiting Nurse Association, Inpatient Unit, at Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wyoming, on January 8, 1930, he was a son of the late George and Helen Steve Fetch.
He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines.
Mr. Fetch owned and operated Fetch’s Food Store, which was located on the corner of Wyoming Avenue and Sixth Street in Wyoming for over 60 years.
He was preceded in death by brother, George.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and is survived by his wife of 44 years, the former Anita Picarelli; son, David R. Jr., of Wyoming; grandchildren, Jennifer Faust, David R. Fetch III and George Fetch; great-grandson, David Michael Fetch; sister, Janet Clarke, of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
