Grace Vonderheid Obituary

G race Mae Vonderheid, 58, formerly of Shavertown, and a recent resident of Heritage House Independent Living, Wilkes-Barre, died Monday evening at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Kingston, Nov. 2, 1947, she was a daughter of E. Carl Husted, Dallas, and the late Frances (Andrews) Husted.
She was a graduate of Wyoming Seminary, Kingston, and had earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Marywood College.
She was a member of St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister Carol Jean Husted, and her aunt Dr. Inez Husted.
Surviving, in addition to her father, are son Todd Vonderheid and wife Christen Farmer, Wilkes-Barre, and granddaughter Tori Farmer Vonderheid; son Colby Vonderheid and wife Stephanie, Mountain Top, and grandsons Wyatt and Cole Vonderheid; brother Edward Husted, Dallas; nephews Tim and Casey Husted.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. from Chapel at Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 140 N. Main St., Shavertown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Erwine Home Health & Hospice, 270 Pierce St., Kingston, PA 18704; or the Lupus Foundation, 1 College Green, LaPlume, PA 18440.
