James Trowbridge Obituary

James J. Trowbridge, 78, of West Pittston, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, at his home.

Born in Meshoppen, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert and Ruth Heller Trowbridge.

He was a graduate of Edwardsville High School and then went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

After his service, he became an electrician and retired after working at Tobyhanna Army Depot for over 25 years.

Surviving are his daughter, Donna and her husband, Thomas Howell, of Lebanon, Pa.; and three grandchildren, Thomas James, Emily Kathryn and James Alexander Howell. Also surviving is a brother William Trowbridge, of Swoyersville.

Interment will take place at Fern Knoll Cemetery, Dallas, in a private ceremony, with the date and time to be determined.

Arrangements are in the care of Gubbiotti Funeral Home LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
