Joseph John Haczewski Jr,. 65, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021.
Born April 3, 1956, in Roswell, N.M., he moved to Plains at age 4. He graduated from Lake Lehman High & Penn State Lehman as a Mechanical Engineer. He was a resident of Poquoson, Va., the past 42 years.
He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding after a lifelong career as a Project Testing Engineer. Joe loved the outdoors and nature, reading books and magazines, woodworking, boating and spending time with his family.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Julie Haczewski; children, Jennifer Casey (John), Jason Haczewski (friend, Rayna Wallace) and Jolyn Haczewski; grandchildren, Kyndall Haczewski and Andrew Casey; parents Joseph and Mattie Haczewski, of Plains; siblings Charles Haczewski (Susan), of San Diego, Calif., and Mary Kay Jones (David), of West Columbia, Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited 6 to 7:30 Friday, June 25, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home. Service at Trinity United Methodist Church, Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial following service at Weston Cemetery, Poquoson, Va.

It breaks my heart to hear that Joey has passed..Even through all the years that have went by without seeing each other, he still looks as I remember when I was about 5.. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE MY BEAUTIFUL COUSIN..R.I.P.
