Raymond Columbus Obituary

Raymond S. Columbus, 73, Edwardsville, died Tuesday evening, May 8, 2012, in Manor Care Health Services, Kingston. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Michael and Cecelia Tauchert Columbus. He was a member of the Russian Club, Edwardsville. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and belonged to the Die Hard Steelers Club at Konefal's Restaurant in Edwardsville. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Grohowski and Terry Lynn Fernandez; stepson, William Daley; brothers, Michael Columbus and Anthony Columbus; sisters, Lucille Plank and Barbara Boles; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston.

Heavenly Father, Please be with the family of Raymond S. Columbus during this difficult time. Comfort his family and friends and let them be surrounded with the support and love of each other. My deepest condolences are with the family as they grieve. Eternal rest grant unto Raymond oh Lord and may the perpetual light shine upon him. May God bless him and his family in this time of sorrow. May their hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together with Raymond as they celebrate a life well lived & Take comfort in knowing that now they have a special guardian angel to watch over them. RIP Raymond S. Columbus.

Sorry to hear about Rays passing, i knew Ray well over the years.. Ray, Heimer and my father (Bumper) were all the best of friends and i am sure they will all take care of each other in heaven!
