WEST PITTSTON — Rev. Robert W. Garringer Sr., 56, West Pittston, passed away on Feb. 25, 2016, at his home due to a lengthy illness.
Robert was born on Nov. 30, 1959, in Wilkes-Barre, to the late John and Eunice (Fink) Garringer. A graduate of Dallas High School, he continued his education at Allied Medical and Technical Careers where he obtained a diploma in the Healthcare Technician and EKG Technician programs. He was employed by Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston, as a unit secretary. Robert was a member of the New Life Apostolic Church of West Pittston, where he had a love of God's Word, singing and playing his guitar. He also loved drawing, camping and fishing with family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Karen Pilger, and grandmother, Ida Fink.
Surviving are his loving wife of 37 years, Marlene (Zeller) Garringer; sons, Robert W. Garringer Jr. and his wife, Rachel, Pittston, and John M. Garringer and his wife, April "Laci," Cleveland, Tennessee; four wonderful and loving grandchildren, Sierrya, Brooke, Adyson and Tyler. He will be sadly missed by all.
His family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to doctors Andrews, Young, Ellis and Szustak, the Pittston Fresenius Dialysis Center and Heartland Hospice for all their care and support.
Funeral services will be held noon Saturday, Feb. 27, in the New Life Apostolic Church, 207 Boston Ave., West Pittston, with the Rev. Philip Webb Sr. officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. to service in the church.

I read Bob's obituary, and said to myself, "He is finally with the Lord Whom he loved so greatly." May that same Lord Jesus now console you in your grief. I am truly honored to have known such a wonderful man!
