Rose Frankiewicz Obituary

Rose T. Frankiewicz, 97, of Pine Street, Alden, died Thursday at home with family at her side.
She was born on December 25th, 1907, in Alden, daughter of the late Mr. Stanley, Shum and Mrs. Sophia (Chmiel) Shum. She~ was an employee of the General Cigar Factory in Nanticoke. Mrs. Frankiew~icz was a member of the Holy Trinit~y Church, Nanticoke, and was a past active member of the choir and Women's Catholic Council. She enjoyed crocheting, dancing, traveling, and making fantastic pierogi.
She was preceded in death by husband, Andrew Frankiewicz; brothers, Frank, Shum, Ignatz Shum, Isaac Shum; and sisters, Mary (Shum) Frankiewicz, Josephine (Shum) Sz~ychowski
Surviving are her sisters, Helen Obici, New York; Blanch Torrick, Wa~ymart; daughter, Mrs. Emily Feeley, Dix Hills, Long Island, N.Y.; daughter, LaVerne Crisler and husband, Paul, Alden; daughter, Eleanor Wodaski and husband, Carl, Nuangola; daughter, Norma Roc~he and husband, William, Mt. Top; grandchildren, Colleen (Crisler) Thomas; Christopher Crisler, Carol (Wodaski) McE~voy; Douglas Wodaski; Melissa (Wodaski) Perkins; Cheryl Roche; Gail (Roche) LaVigna; Wendy Sue (Roche) Loftis; Holly (Roche) Vesely; and 13 great- grandchildren, Jack. Cailin, Katie, Ian, Andrew, Abigail, Madelaine, Morgan, Christopher, Regan, Collin, Kendall, Pe~yton.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home, Inc., 614 S Hanover St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Nanticoke. Friends~ may call Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
