Sally DeVoe Obituary

Sally (Pragacz-Slacktish) DeVoe, 87, of Scott Township, Pa., formerly of Binghamton, N.Y., passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at Mercy Hospice, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband, William DeVoe; two sisters, Stella Hovanich and Sophie Margetanski; and a brother, Edward Pragacz. Sally is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Mary Slacktish, Dallas, and William and Joan Slacktish, Scott Township, Pa.; two step-sons, Joseph and William DeVoe; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Sally was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Binghamton, N.Y., and she enjoyed her family and fishing trips. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at The Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton, N.Y. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. It was Sally's wish that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a charity of one's choice.

Dear Family,
I still sit across from Sally's old home on Savitch Rd and remember all the things we did together. Lunch every week, Boscovs, movies. I still miss her.
