WILKES-BARRE — Stella Zdanowicz, 90, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, in the Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent J. Zdanowicz, in 2013, and by her sisters, Helen Bobkowski, Sophie Yedloski, Steffie Davidowski and Jean Carpenter; brothers, Joseph and John Machonis.
Stella is survived by her children, Maryann Honeycutt, Fort Worth, Texas; Vincent P. Zdanowicz and his wife, Virginia, Plains Township; Susan Wegrzynowicz and her husband, Leonard, Benton; Mark Zdanowicz, Wilkes-Barre; and Joan Falls and her husband, Raymond, Hughesville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Genevieve Yenchak, Ashley and Irene Tomalis, Abington; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 828 Main St., Sugar Notch. Private Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Celtic Hospice, 601 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA 18704.
