Stephen Borgeson Obituary

MONROE TWP. — Stephen A. Borgeson, 55, of Monroe Township, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at his home. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Denise Borgeson.

Born in Honesdale, he is survived by his loving parents, James R. and Carole Day Borgeson.

He was a 1985 graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School; Pocono school of taxidermy, then continued his education for his CDL.

Stephen was a member of the Bowmans Creek Free Methodist Church, Long Point Gun Club, and SouthMountain Land Association.

Steve had a great love for his whole family. He was truly blessed and so very proud of his boys, Levi and Zack. Levi and Larissa blessed him with three little granddaughters who are the light of his life. He would ask who's the greatest? Of course, the girls would say grandma and they would giggle and giggle. Then grandma says who's the greatest and they would say grandpa and giggle some more.

His love of the outdoors became a bond with many hunting and fishing stories. He enjoyed his beagles and running rabbits. Steve loved the sound of the beagles when they were after a rabbit and his other favorite was the sound of a Harley (he would say nothing like the sound of a Harley) and the whole hollow knew when Steve and Zack were coming. He meant so much to so many and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by sons, Levi Dale Borgeson and fiancée Larissa, and Zackery James Bargeson; brother, Timothy James Borgeson and his wife Carmen; sisters, Christina Borgeson-Rogers and husband Glenn, Melissa Schroeder, and Carol Acker; grandchildren, Adalyn, Madisyn, and Evalyn Borgeson; several great-nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Carl Crispell and wife Marcia; mother-in-law, Barbara Kovalick-Crispell.

Family and friends are invited to attend Stephen's celebration of life service which will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657, with Pastor Lynn Mokwa presiding.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. on Thursday until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bowman's Creek Free Methodist Church, 6470 PA-309, Monroe, PA 18657 or Kunkle Fire Company, 3943 PA-309, Dallas, PA 18612.
