Theodore (Ted) Buch
Theodore (Ted) Buch, 81, of North Sewickley Township, passed from natural causes and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 29, 2020. Buch, his children, Dr. Albert (Sheri) Buch, Dr. Robert (Angela) Buch, Kathie (Cliff) McHale, and Lisa (Bryan) Giocondi, nine grandchildren, his brother George (Carol) Buch, his sister Naomi Prox, several nieces and a nephew, and everyone who knew him. Ted was a 1957 graduate of Beaver Falls High School, a 1962 grad of Geneva College, and a 1973 grad from Westminster College's Master of Education program. Ted also completed the educational requirements of Akron University's doctorate program, but never took time off from providing for his family to write his dissertation. He was a hard worker who always had a second job, whether spending his summers working at his friend's asphalt company, teaching summer school, or teaching prisoners to read. Ted was a teacher and counselor at the Riverside Beaver County School District for 37 years where he invested daily in the lives of his students. After retiring, he went to work for USAir. Ted was a lifelong member of Concord United Methodist Church in North Sewickley where he served as a lay leader, a Sunday school teacher, and sang in the choir. He was a 50-year member of the Masons, a Shriner, an Army veteran, a member of the Gideons and President of the Riverside Beaver County Credit Union for over 20 years.
A memorial service will be held in the spring for friends and family to celebrate Ted's life.

Lived right next door to Ana’s parents, the Halls. When Ted and Ana married it honestly took a bit of time to watch the changes to our close and tiny neighborhood. Ted did the maintenance and handy work of their property. As the family grew we saw the Buchs find interest in North Sewickly.
Always polite and laughing about anything and everything.
Always considerate to my parents, George and Pauline Nahal.
May the whole crew be in peace.
Great memories

Mr Buch inspired me to pursue a career in the military. It was the best advice I ever got. He was one of the few teachers who believed in me. Thanks to his advice I served 22 years. He made the world a better place and any one who knew him was better for it. May God be with his family as they mourn the loss of such a good man.
