Gary LaBarge Obituary
HERKIMER - Gary Edward LaBarge, 78, widower of Linda (Brisson) LaBarge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
A lifelong Herkimer resident, he worked for Madison B.O.C.E.S. for many years. From 1963 until 1965, he served in the US Army, and then with the Reserves until 1969.
Gary will be remembered as a sincere, caring person with a comedic sense of humor. He truly loved people and was comfortable being around young and old as well. His children's friends thought of him as "just one of the gang". He will be missed by his many friends, family and especially his cherished granddaughter, Ginny Marie, who became the love of his life.
Surviving are two daughters, Ashleigh and her husband, Kent Furry, II, and Destiny LaBarge, and granddaughter, Ginny Marie Furry, all of Herkimer. Besides his parents, Edward and Reta (Bassett) LaBarge, and wife, Linda, he was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Kimberly Holtz.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 19th, at Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 6:00 p.m.

We were saddened to hear of Gary's passing. We always enjoyed seeing him in Old Forge with his family. He was a great guy and will be missed. Bob and Helen, Strand Theatre
