Andrew Ragone Obituary

Ragone, Andrew "Joe" Jr.
SPIEGLETOWN - Andrew "Joe" Ragone, Jr., 88, of Speigletown, peacefully entered into eternal life on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn in Albany.
Born in Albany, N.Y., he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna Marinello Ragone, Sr., and stepson of the late Grace. The beloved husband for 60 years to Emily A. Ragone, who passed away on April 10, 2017. He was a graduate from Albany High School and then served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960, when he received his Honorable Discharge.
"Joe", as he was affectionately known, was the founder, owner and operator of Ragone Foundations, Inc., in Speigletown, a family business since 1969.
He was an avid golfer, and you could hear him always saying that he thought he was never going to "chase that little white ball". He loved boating on Lake George, which was his second favorite place to his home in Vero Beach, Florida. He also loved Raiders football, bowling and, most of all, his great-grandchildren.
Beloved father of David (Ivette) Ragone of Argyle, and Darcie Salmon of Buskirk; cherished grandfather of Nicholas (Kirsten) Krege, Vincent (Kimberleigh) Ragone, Felicia Garrison (Jeff Kosinski), Dominic (Kiana) Krege, Gianna Salmon, David Ragone, Jr., Alec Ragone, Kristal, and Gabby; also survived by his adored 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh, followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery with U.S. Army honors.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, N.Y. 12182, on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Ragone family would like to send deepest appreciation to the amazing staff at St. Peter's Hospice Inn for their exceptional care and comfort which was provided.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The Community Hospice, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, N.Y. 1122208, in memory of Andrew J. "Joe" Ragone, Jr.
