Anthony "Moe" Monaco Jr.

Monaco, Anthony "Moe" Jr. SCOTIA Anthony "Moe" Monaco Jr., age 87, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was born in Albany on February 17, 1935. Moe enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1953, and was honorably discharged in 1956. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 294. He was the father of Geri Valentine, Debra Monaco, Joseph Monaco (Paula), and Kimberly Monaco (Peter); grandfather of Joelle Monaco, Tessa Valentine, Malina Valentine, Morgan Monaco, Ethan Szemansco, Jack Szemansco, Jeana Monaco and Christopher Monaco; great-grandfather of Anthony Burden; and brother of Elizabeth Templeton and Antionette Morrell. Moe loved his family and enjoyed a good cigar. Tony's family would like to thank everyone at Van Rensselaer Manor especially Wing A2 and Hospice for the loving care, concern and compassion shown to our dad. Funeral services will be in the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer on Wednesday, February 23, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H.
