Cecilia Carhart Obituary
GLENMONT - Cecilia Carhart, 77, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024, in the care of the Community Hospice of Albany and surrounded by loved ones. Born on December 13, 1946, in Albany, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Helen (Hammond) Rankin.
Cecilia graduated from St. Joseph's High School and attended Maria College. She worked for the telephone company and then the NYS Department of Agriculture and Statistics. She retired from there after over 30 plus, years of service.
Cecilia was an avid reader, enjoyed music and most of all loved spending time with her four grandchildren, in New York.
She is survived by her children, Joe (Christine) Carhart and Wendy (Stephen) Masterson; grandchildren, Megan Carhart, Alyssa Carhart, Ethan Masterson and Kiera Masterson.
Calling hours 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., will be held Sunday, January 28, 2024, held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, N.Y. 12205. On Monday, January 29, 2024, 10:00 a.m., a service will be held at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery & Memorial Park, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Albany, N.Y. 12205.
