Warren, Daniel Roland
Middlebury - Daniel Roland Warren, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 91 in Middlebury, Vermont. Born to the Reverend Oliver J. Warren and Elizabeth J. Warren in Colonie, NY, Dan's life was characterized by love, dedication, and a commitment to family.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Louise (nee Treharne) Warren. Together, they created a legacy of enduring love and unwavering companionship. Dan's memory will forever be cherished by his children Suzanne (Michael) Manzi, Wendy (Mike Rowe) Warren, and Steven (Maggie) Warren, as well as his four grandchildren: Owen (Sara) Spath, Benjamin Warren, Molly Warren, and Kelly Warren.
A proud graduate of Lansingburgh High School, Dan excelled both academically and athletically. He served as the President of his class and captained the Basketball Team. This leadership continued at Colgate University, where he graduated in 1953, having captained the university's basketball team. Dan is a veteran of the United States Army.
Dan dedicated a significant portion of his professional life to retail warehouse management, Later in his career, he ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing his own Real Estate Appraisal business.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dan was a loving brother to Betty Warren, Ann (Warren) Hollar, Patricia (Warren) Davies, John Warren and Pamela (Warren) Cicchinelli.
He will be laid to rest in Glens Fall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Colgate Raiders Basketball Program.
