Edward F. "Ned" Keating

Keating, Edward F. "Ned" TROY Edward F. "Ned" Keating, 25, of Troy passed into eternal rest, suddenly on Monday, January 25, 2016. Ned was born in Troy and was the loving son of John J. and Laurie E. Lillis Keating of Troy. Ned graduated from Catholic Central high school, the class of 2009. He had been employed by Price Chopper in Troy and the Owens Corning Company of Delmar. He enjoyed listening to music, snowboarding, boxing and working out. Ned also enjoyed his trips to Wildwood, N.J., but mostly loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Ned is also survived by his brother John J. Keating IV, his grandparents Teresa Keating of Troy, Edward and Elizabeth Lillis of Troy, and the late John J. Keating. He was the nephew of Jean and Mark Gageway, William Keating and was predeceased by his uncle Daniel Keating, he is also survived by his aunts and their husbands, Mary Ann and Bruce Yost, Christine and John Richards and Patricia Lillis. Ned is also survived by several cousins. The funeral service for Ned will be held on Saturday morning at 8:45 a.m. at the Wm. Leahy Funeral home 336 Third St. Troy, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
