Eric Gibson was more than just a friend to me; he was like a brother. Our friendship spanned over 30 years, and in that time, we forged a bond that was unbreakable. Eric was incredibly intelligent, with a heart as pure as gold. He always saw the best in people, even when they didn´t deserve it, and that´s just one of the many qualities that made him extraordinary.

From our childhood days, spent nearly every day together, to our teenage years, and even into adulthood, we never let life´s demands interfere with our friendship. He was my constant companion and my only true friend. Eric taught me invaluable lessons about not taking life too seriously and to savor the positive moments, letting go of the negative. His perspective on life was always uplifting, and he had an uncanny ability to help me see that better days were always on the horizon.

Eric was my confidant, the person I turned to for advice. He supported me through the toughest times, including the loss of loved ones and the ups and downs of relationships. His presence was a comfort and a beacon of hope during those challenging moments. Every significant memory, whether joyous or sorrowful, includes him, and he played a crucial role in shaping who I am today.

As I reflect on our shared experiences, I realize just how deeply he influenced my life. His wise counsel during our adult years was just as impactful as the adventures we shared in our youth. Losing Eric is an immeasurable loss, but his memory and the lessons he imparted will always remain with me. He was truly a brother to me, and his absence will be profoundly felt.

Eric will be missed more than words can express, but he will never be forgotten. He is a part of every cherished memory and every significant moment in my life. I am forever grateful for his friendship and for the incredible person he was. Rest in peace, Eric. Your spirit will always live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
