James Bogart Obituary

Bogart, James K. Sr. ALBANY James K. Bogart Sr., 68, of Albany, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017. James was born in Schenectady, and raised in Albany. He lived most of his life in Rensselaer and Albany. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged. He was employed by Alco Roofing and Chimney Service, the Zappala Block Co., Albany Pallet & Box Co., Huyck Felt, and Hess. James was a family man, and was always very kind and helpful. He enjoyed good food and drink, gardening, and learning about science and nature, as well as listening to music, especially Elvis, and the Beatles. James is survived by his wife, Colleen Marie White Bogart; his son, James K. Bogart Jr. (Tracy Teresa Tomassi-Bogart) of Cobleskill; his sister, Desiree Bogart-Chamberlain of Lincoln, Ill.; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Mary White Zielinski Barbolt (Bruce Barbolt) of Stillwater; his sisters-in-law, Eva White Murphy (John E. Murphy, Sr.) of Orlando, Fla., and Mary White Kivlen (Joseph R. Kivlen) of Averill Park; and by his much loved many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John J. Bogart Sr. and Estelle Marie Hilbert Bogart; and his brother, John J. "Jack" Bogart Jr. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, on Wednesday, at 8:15 a.m. and from there to All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St. (behind CVS), at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Homeless Action Committee, 393 North Pearl St., Albany, NY 12207. Jim, Love you & miss you .. you are my brother in law but more like a big brother to me. Our granddaughter Lilly loves you. .. u were so good to her playing peek a boo , and blowing kisses to each other . U were so good to her even when u were so sick in the hospital.
