Joan Potenza Obituary
TROY - Joan A. Potenza, 91, of Troy, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Walker Doyle and wife of the late Frank Potenza.
Joan enjoyed spending time with her family, taking her grandchildren to breakfast or lunch was a special time for her as well as making her deliveries of bagels and pastries to her children.
She is survived by her children, Lynn (late Joe) Strain, Nick Dremuck, Donna (Robert) Adams; grandchildren, Jay Strain Jr., Christopher (Candi) Strain, Michael (Lisa) Strain, Amy (James) Lacey, Nick Dremuck, Eric (Erin) Adams, Jeffrey (Heather) Adams, Michael, Tracy Adams, Jason (Jennifer) Socola and Jarod (Jennifer) Socola; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Jacek, Ava, Mason, Caia, Quintin, Arthur, Alex, Jake, Margaret, Vinny, Anthony, Dominic, Taylor, Easton, Tyler and Catherine.
Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday, at the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, Troy, from 10 a.m. – noon. Funeral services will follow with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

My dad was a long time friend of Frank and Joan and I remember her sweet kindness. I also saw her and Frank at VRM from time to time when visiting others. I would always stop and chat even if she didn't know me any more. So sorry for your loss.
