Kirby D. Huestis

Huestis, Kirby D. VENICE, Fla. Kirby D. Huestis, of Venice, and formerly of Saratoga Springs passed away unexpectedly at his home in Florida on May 29, 2016. Kirby was the son of Walton and Rhesa Huestis. He was born in Ticonderoga, and grew up in Chestertown, N.Y. After graduation from Chestertown High School, Kirby attended and graduated from C.W. Post College. Kirby had many interests, including golf, skiing, spending time on his boat in Lake George as well as in Florida. Kirby was predeceased by his wife of over 40 years, who was the love of his life, Barbara A. Huestis. Throughout the final years of Barbara's illness, Kirby was her primary caregiver. He was also predeceased by his brother, Bob Huestis, of Willsboro, N.Y. Kirby is survived by his son, David and his wife Christine of Saratoga Springs and their children, Paige and Gavin; and by his daughter, Rebecca Huestis of Cazenovia, N.Y. A celebration of Kirby's life will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at McGregor Links Country Club, 359 Northernpines Rd., Wilton.
