ALBANY - May Kathryn (Richardson) Morgan was called home to the Lord on Sunday, April 30, 2023, after succumbing to a long illness.
May was born in Rhinebeck, N.Y. on May 17, 1954. She graduated from Red Hook High School and worked for one of New York's largest unions, Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) for 34 years before retiring in 2009.
She was predeceased by her parents, Marvis and Lula (Johnson) Richardson; sister, Shelvy Thompson, and brother, Marvis Richardson Jr. May is survived by her husband, Cleveland Morgan; and two sons, Cleveland Morgan Jr. and Michael Morgan; two stepdaughters, Sherine Woods and Judith Morgan-Harris; six siblings, Dianne and Regina Richardson of Albany, Brenda Richardson and Cassandra Johnson of Poughkeepsie, Ellis (Paula) Richardson of Hudson, and Jonathan Richardson of Poughkeepsie. She is also survived by three grandsons, Naseer Morgan, Taijhon Branch, and Cleveland Morgan III, and many relatives and friends.
Thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Peter's Hospital for the care, love and support you gave to May. We would also like to thank the hospice care team for their kindness and care given to our loved one and the support and compassion shown to the family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 5, at Bates & Anderson - Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, Inc. Calling hours are from 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Services will begin at 12 p.m.
