Rangaraj Setlur Obituary

SETLUR Dr. Rangaraj K. SARASOTA, Fla. Dr. Rangaraj "Ran" K. Setlur, died unexpectedly February 6, 2013 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota. He was 63. He was board certified in anesthesia and in critical care medicine. He had recently retired from Albany Medical Center's Cardiac Anesthesia Department in Albany. He is survived by his wife, Elaine LaMonica Setlur and family, Holly and Stephen Bergeron of Indianapolis, Ind., Dr. Jennifer Setlur of New Haven, Conn. and Drs. Vikram and Laura Setlur of Chicago, Ill. No Memorial Service is scheduled at this time.

He loved his profession and his family was the most Important thing to him he was very forgiving he was so proud to be an American he cared about his patients he enjoyEd his Residents so much He was a true Believer and my best friend he died so peacefully in my arms

I will never forget the little cooking sessions Ran so willingly and proudly shared with me. My first taste of curried goat was prepared by him, it was hotter than anything I've ever ate in my life!
