My condolences to the Curran and Leach families. I worked with Sean and Tommy Leach at the Albany Public Market in the mid 1960's. At that time Sean encouraged me to make my first trip to meet family in Tipperary and Kerry. I met Sean in downtown Albany the day he applied for Social Security and we raised a few pints without the din of bagpipes that usually accompanied our Paddy's Day encounters. Sean came into my thoughts only just the other day--he must have come to say good bye.
Fare well, gentle spirit.

To the Curran family I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Sean from his days as a painter and one of my favorite St. Patrick's Day memories was when he came in the Washington Tavern playing the bagpipes. I was with a friend who had done a favor for Sean and when Sean was finished playing in the back and was about to leave he stopped in front of the two of us and played a beautiful song. He will be missed.

Christina and Larry...I was so sorry to read about Seans passing. I remember meeting him a few times several years back and always enjoyed the times I did. We met at a couple of NYSO events and at Capriccio, and I wil always remember that wonderful twinkle in his eye. Keeping you and the family in thoughts and close to heart.

Always quick with a smile and a clever anecdote - even when we were just kids in the neighborhood. Watching him play bagpipes in the parade (or at Charley Weavers on St Patricks Day) was always a treat. I wish the entire family condolences in your time of loss.
