Eternal rest grant unto Thomas, O Lord,
and let Your perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed
Rest in Peace.
Amen.
Dear Teresa, Michelle, beloved Thomas & Samantha, Brother Larry, and all of the Torello family aunts, uncles, and cousins,
The human heart weighs approximately 10 oz. It is fair to say that there isn't a scale on Earth that can weigh how heavy our hearts remain at this very moment. Please accept our deepest sympathies at this hour of mourning.
Our families lived just a few doors down from each other on First St. back in 1973 when "Baby Tom" blessed us with his arrival. Having been friends with his favorite uncle at that time, I spent plenty of time with the burgeoning Torello family members. Vivid memories of Baby Tom with his tiny face pressed up against the second floor window screens shouting down to Big Tom and I on the sidewalk outside. Indeed, he was mischievous!
With the passage of time comes many changes. Upon my many visits back home to Albany, I had the pleasure of seeing Tommy at a function or two over the years, especially a few family gatherings organized by my brother George at Saratoga State Park back in 1997 and 1998. Gratefully, I have video and photos to cherish.
Tommy was always seen with a smile on his face, a content young man. His personality was bold and confident, with expressive demeanor. That tiny little kid grew up to be Mr. Husky, his strength derived from his large family, and the one he created along with Michelle.
Because I know of the origins of his family nickname, I must admit how enjoyable and loving it has been to hear him still referred to as "Baby Tom" for over five decades..... quite fitting. He was always a good sport.
Gone too soon, young man, gone too soon. You have carried an abundance of family love, support, and memories with you on your early journey to Heaven.
GRIEF is the price we pay for LOVE.
God Bless You and Yours.
With Love, Bob & Kim BLIVEN
