Verna Monaco Obituary
BALLSTON LAKE - We are deeply saddened to announce that our adored mother, Verna E Monaco, passed away Thursday January 11, 2024, at the age of 84. She was truly dedicated to her family, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and an all-around kind, patient person to all who were blessed to have known her. Mom always offered a warm welcoming smile and an ear to listen.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert French and Beatrice Ody; brother, Robert French; and her loving husband of 64 years, Pasquale J. Monaco, who passed just 7 short months ago. Mom missed him immensely, and we find peace knowing that they are once again reunited.
Verna is survived by her six adoring children, Antoinette McCollum, Sonta Mone, Pasquale (Rhonda) Monaco, Theresa (John) Little, Jennifer (Tom) Gregory and Robert (Andrea) Monaco. She was the proud grandmother to Nicholas (Casey) Mone, Antoinette (Josh) Prock, Matthew (JoAnna) Little, John Little, Ronald Redmond, Anthony (Jessica) Monaco, Joey Monaco, and Keenon McCollum; and great-grandmother of Addison Prock, Mason Redmond, Cody Redmond, Melanie Little, Isabelle Little, Christopher Duclos and Elliana Duclos; her brothers, Ronald (Martha) French and Lyle French. She is also survived by several extended family members; numerous nieces and nephews; and her part-time caregiver, Marisa Multari.
Mom we love, love, love you.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 20, at Ballston Spa Cemetery, Garrett Road, Ballston Spa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Verna may be made to Saratoga Hospital, 211 Church Street, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. 12866.
