I only met Walter once at a luncheon with our daughter, Kathy. I was impressed with his knowlege and his ability to carry on a conversation interspersed with humor. Later he sent me hiking rain gear which I have used in Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park. May his inspiration be a part of us forever.

I only met Walter once in my life, and I found him to be a delightful person. I hope he realized how much he gave to my daughter, Kathy, in way of respect, tolerance and dignity. She has been blessed by his friendship and love.

I first met Walter through my daughter, Katherine, and shared many visits with him either in the assisted living centers or going out to lunch or church. Walter was a wonderful friend and, I am so appreciative of having had him as a part of my life.

Although I did not know Walter well, I enjoyed talking with him at various times. I especially remember our lunch at Grandma's Pies with Katherine B - Walter was so funny and told such great stories. I gained a whole new view of his intelligence, sense of humor and his very, very interesting life!

It was a pleasure and an honor to get to know Walter and spend a weekend with him on Long Island. A true gentlemen and one of the only people I know who could keep Steve-O in his place!

Walter was a very good friend to us over the past dozen years, and an honorary grandfather for about the past six. We'll miss his wise observations, witty conversation, mischievous sense of humor, contagious laughter, and the twinkle in his eyes. Rest easy Walter, and know that you'll remain forever in our hearts.
