I knew Charlie as a decent, down to earth person and always helpfull with good information. I remember talking about going hunting in a new place and Charlie bringing me one of his tree stands to use. Fun person to talk to.....hold it together MaryAlyce,it has to be tough, but I have always known you to be a strong person.

God Bless Charlie and the Yates family. I first looked up to Charlie as being one of the older kids at Island View Baptist Church. VBS in the summer, campouts, RA softball, youth events, etc. We all had a lot of "old school" fun together. Charlie even saved me from drowning when I was 12 at a church swim party. He was a fun loving, God loving, and family loving youngster and adult. Yates family members, Peace of the Lord to you in your loss. Thanks for everything, Charlie. You made a big difference to me and my family, in more ways than one.
