Gertrude Witten Obituary

WITTEN Gertrude Biscow Witten, 98, died 8-28-2004. A native of New York City, Mrs. Witten had lived in Jacksonville since the age of six. She was predeceased by her husband, Ike Witten, and a son, Dr. Samuel Witten. Survivors include her son, Dr. Paul Witten; sister, Ida Biscow Cohen; grandchildren, Michael Witten, David Witten, Polly Witten, Wendy Witten Cunningham and Dr. Andrew L. Witten; great-grandchildren, Gideon, Chelsea, Alex and Zachary Witten. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. this morning, Monday, August 30, 2004 in Old Center Cemetery (Evergreen Gate 5). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River Garden Hebrew Home. Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home 4115 Hendricks Ave. Please sign the Guestbook at Jacksonville.com
