James Feagle Obituary

FEAGLE
James (Ed) Feagle, 83 of Welaka, Florida passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at his home. Ed was born in Alachua, Florida to the late John and Myra Feagle. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Ed was known for his cooking and enjoyed preparing meals for crowds, his family and the communities. On several occasions he won the chili cook-off. Ed was a people person and never met a stranger. His front porch was always open at 4 PM and anyone was welcomed to stop by. The porch was twenty five feet from the river and politics and religion were not talked about. He enjoyed boating on the St. Johns River and karaoke. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and a grandson. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Margie Feagle of Welaka, Fl.; three daughters, Janet Alter of Atlanta, Ga., Susan Cole and husband, Jim of St Johns, Fl., Charlene Peterson and husband, Bill of Gibsonton, Fl.; eight grandchildren and one great grandson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of the arrangements.
