So many fond memories. Joan was a very vibrant and cheerful person. We will all miss her gracious hospitality and warm ways. Monica (Breen) Lloyd

We were disappointed to be away while Joan endured those last few days! What a shock...so quick! She and Grover stick with us for the guidance they provided on our never-to-be forgotten trip to Ireland in 2012. That guarantees she'll always be with us in memory. It's a comfort to see how many children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and others remain to cherish her.

Much like the rest of the family, I cannot imagine my life without you in it. It will take me a long time to heal from your absence. I was so blessed to have you as my Aunt and you have left a hole that will never be filled. All of our conversations, our laughter and tears are with me. I cherish every second I heard your voice and got to spend with you. I know you did the same. I will always cherish you Aunt Joanie. I hope that my Uncle Grover finds some peace and comfort in tomorrow's mass.
My gorgeous Aunt Joan and I - I carry you in my heart until I see you again.

Joanie's face would light up when we would pop in for a visit. Special memories: When our granddaughter, Lauren, was a toddler, Joanie bought a coloring book and crayons just for our visits. (She is now 19!) It was tradition for Lauren and Billy to go to Breen's on Halloween for a special Joanie treat. She was a woman of strength and courage and depended on God and her unflinching faith to see her through many trials along her path of life. Through it all, she kept her joy and gave joy to so many. Grover and Joanie...Joanie and Grover...god's peace and mercy be upon you, dear Grover +

Joan will be missed by so many. She was a gracious lady and a wonderful friend. Joan taught me how to cook spaghetti sauce amd other wonderful dishes for which my family was very grateful. When my hand was in a cast she popped in and cleaned my kitchen. That was the Joan I knew and I feel blessed to have know her.
