John McFadyen Obituary

MCFADYEN On December 4, 2015, John B. McFadyen, aka Jack and Smokey to his Navy friends, died after a lengthy illness. Originally from Bay City, MI, he was a loving husband, a wonderful dad and a dear friend who will be sorely missed. John is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; five children, Deby of CA, Shelly of MD, Lisa of MI, Daniel of FL and Colleen of MI; and six grandchildren, Jordon, Chad, Conner, Kevin, Karlee and Alyssa. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at The Church of the Good Samaritan, 3813 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068. Honors and burial will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.

Nancy, I just heard of Jack´s death and I am thinking of you and sending good wishes. You were so good to me all those years in Bay City. Tom and I had so many good times with the Beach Bunch and the Friday night get togethers which you and Jack played such a big part.
