Matthew Barrett Obituary

BARRETT Matthew W. Barrett, 58, passed away suddenly on June 14, 2015. Born in the Panama Canal Zone, preceded in death by his parents Captain John T. Barrett, Jr. and wife Helen, brothers Mark, and John, and John's wife Jayne. Matt formerly attended Wesconnett Elementary, PS#57; Jefferson Davis Jr. H.S.; Nathan Bedford Forest, Sr. H.S.; University of Florida, B.S. He was an avid sports fan; a devoted son, a respected brother, friend, and active volunteer. He will be sorely missed. Matthew is survived by his four sisters, and their children: Susan Barrett Cecil and husband, Robert, of Rockville, MD ; Joan Molinaro ,and husband, Thomas Hatcher of TX, ; Mary Barrett Hare, and husband, Jeffrey, of SC, ; Sally Barrett, and husband Nicolas Cuenca, of Miami, FL, and beloved niece Jayme Barrett, of Fleming Island, FL. A memorial mass will be held Thursday, June 18th, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 5752 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville
