MITCHELL Mrs. Nettie L. Mitchell, 82, of Jacksonville died March 22, 2003 at a local care facility. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Jacksonville and was a member of Paxon Revival Center, 5461 Commonwealth Ave., where Home Going Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 25, 2003 with Rev. Jimmie Dobbs & Rev. Steve Dobbs, Pastors, officiating. Mrs. Mitchell was a very loving mother, grandmother & great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Willis Dick Mitchell and is survived by her children: Mrs. Elaine (Nead) Summey; Mr. Willie (Genell) Mitchell; Mr. Doyal (Mary) Mitchell; Mrs. Bonnie (Jim) Blystone; Ms. Linda Ertley. Numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday (TODAY) from 6 to 8 PM at PEEPLES FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES, North Jacksonville Chapel, 2220 Soutel Dr., near Lem Turner. Sis Mitchell will surely be missed by all who have known and loved her. I have known her since I was about 7 years old and I have never seen any one so devoted to God and loving to all. I just want to say that Sis Mitchell has been so sweet and kind and like a mother to me. I have always gave her ride in my car or on the church bus. Sis Mitchell , You will be missed down here but you will be in the presence of the Lord dancing with Peter,James and John.Also with the saints of God we all loved down here. I will always love you like a mother. I have known you for over 42years and Sis Vicky has known you for 27years.

granny mitchell was a very kind woman I loved her so much .i have known her for about 20 years she was like a mother I never had .I respected her.whenI came in the room her face would light up like she hasnt seen me in years.i know she is in a better place now. I know she will be watching over me and my family.I seen her a week ago and the last thing she told me was how much she loved me and how she appreciated me stopping by to see her.I will cherish that the rest of my life. she will be deeply missed love sheila ertley and robert summey and family

Granny Mitchell was a wonderful person that I will never forget. She was always a grandmother to us when we were growing up. My heart broke on Saturday when I found out that she has passed away but she is now in a better place with God and we will get to see here when we get there. My heart goes out to everyone in the family. She will always be missed and loved.
